This is an authentic Missoni knit lurex dress made as part as the M line.  The M line was introduced in 1998 and made in Italy for Missoni by textile manufacturer Marzotto.  The dress has a black cowl neck, black bottom, a purple body and green, pink, yellow and silver bands around the sleeves and at the bottom of the dress.  The fabric is woven with a silver toned thread throughout.  The sleeves are made in a flare to the cuff and the body is also cut with a flare to the hemline.  It comes with an accompanying black nylon slip.  

 Label: Missoni M Line Made in Italy.  Missoni was founded in 1953 by husband and wife Ottavio and Rosita Missoni.  They introduced the zigzag flame striped knit pattern that they are now associated with during the early 60s. 

Material: Content label reads “41% Viiscose, 37% Acetate, 17% Polyamide, 5% Polyester”.  Slip is marked as 100% Polyamide

Sizing: US size 12 is indicated on the size tag, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17 1/2” across from one shoulder/sleeve seam to the other

Sleeve: 23 1/2“ from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Bust: 41” meant to fit loosely

Waist: 42” meant to fit loosely

Hips:  44” meant to fit loosely

Hemline:  52”

Overall length: 37 1/2“, measured flat

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, soiling or odors - there are one or two small pulls, but these are quite minor.  Otherwise, this dress looks to have seen little use and has been well kept.
